Organize Your Bathroom and Make the Most of Your Space

Our bathrooms are often the smallest spaces in our homes, but they deserve as much attention as any other room, especially when it comes to organization. From towels, to cleaning products, hair styling tools and more, without proper organization, our bathrooms can easily become a cluttered mess of stuff. Utilize these DIY tips to organize your bathroom, make the most of your space, and impress your guests.

Use baskets to organize small miscellaneous items

We all have random items scattered throughout our bathroom that we don't know what to do with. Whether it's nail polish remover, hair gel, or an extra bottle of toothpaste, baskets are an aesthetically pleasing way to conceal and organize your random assortment of toiletries that you don't want guests to see. Whether you buy online or in-store, baskets are affordable and easy to find. Nail them to your wall or store them on a shelf. Baskets are a great way to store your random assortment of bathroom supplies.

Label glass containers or mason jars to store everyday toiletries

Whether it's Q-tips or cotton balls, you can store your everyday toiletries in labeled glass jars to organize and decorate your bathroom all at once. Buy simple glass or mason jars at your local dollar store. Print a label, or purchase some chalkboard paint and hand-write the label yourself. Get creative and put your toiletries on display in a sophisticated and organized way.

Use floating shelves to store towels

Floating shelves are a great way to store your bathroom necessities without wasting space. Roll your towels and place them on each shelf. Spruce up any leftover shelf space with your favorite decorations. Floating shelves are easy to find in stores and online, and are an affordable way to make the most of your space.

Hang hair styling tools on the back of cabinets using hooks

Install hooks on the back of your bathroom cabinet doors and use them to hang your hair styling tools. Wrap cords around the hook and save space to keep your hair dryers, straighteners, and curlers concealed. You'll no longer have a tangled mess of cords wasting valuable space, and your hair styling tools are stored where your guests can't see them.

Use magnets to organize your metal beauty and cosmetic tools

If the back of your medicine cabinet is metal, utilize that space for storage with magnets. Place magnets on the back of your medicine cabinet and your metal cosmetic tools will stick right to them. Tweezers, eyelash curlers, bobby pins, and more, instead of throwing your everyday cosmetic tools in a makeup bag, store them on the back of your medicine cabinet for easy access and optimal organization.

Use a tiered tray to maximize vanity space

Who knew a cake stand could serve as an organizer for your vanity? You can create your own tiered tray easily, by hot gluing one or two cake stands together. Save space on your vanity by storing miscellaneous items vertically. Perfumes, rings, moisturizers, soap, whatever products that are completely consuming your vanity's surface, store them vertically on a trendy tiered tray.
